Marquesas
Keys Fishing
Just west of Key West Harbor is an area we call the
Lakes Passage. This series of islands provides smaller boats with
an avenue to run to and from the Marquesas Keys. At the west end
of the Lakes Passage is Boca Grande Key. This area has a beautiful
white sandy beach and also provides safe harbor for traveling boats.
The area is protected by surrounding shallow flats.
Across the Boca Grande Channel and 22 miles from Key
West lies the only Atoll in North America, the Marquesas
Keys. This
area is a group of islands forms a donut and is and excellent area
for flats fishing and kayak fishing.
Our charter captains use the Marquesas west side as
anchorage in the evenings. The waters around the Marquesas Keys are
thriving with all types of fish. The advantage we have with fishing
from this area is most of the Key West Fishing Fleet do not travel
out as far therefore the fishing is virtually untouched.

Marquesas islands please email
